Message from the Founder

Hi, I’m Grace Cupat, and I founded ViaSkill out of a deep frustration—and a deep hope. For over two decades, I’ve worked in software engineering, product design, and team leadership, mentoring emerging talent and navigating the highs and lows of an industry that moves fast and sometimes overlooks real potential.

I’ve been on both sides of the hiring table. I’ve been underestimated, passed over, and told to “wait my turn”—despite having the skills, the drive, and the impact to prove otherwise. And I’ve watched too many brilliant people around me get lost in outdated systems: resumes that miss the story, interviews that miss the person.

ViaSkill was my response.
Not just to the problem, but to the promise:

Grace Cupat is a career technologist, mentor, and product strategist with over 20 years of experience leading teams across software development, UX, and AI-driven platforms. She’s spent her career building tools that bridge the gap between potential and recognition—especially for professionals navigating systems that often fail to see their full value.

A longtime advocate for underrepresented talent in tech, Grace has mentored dozens of aspiring designers, engineers, and career-changers, helping them grow with confidence and clarity. Her passion for career mobility, equity, and real-world skill visibility is what sparked the creation of ViaSkill.

ViaSkill is her answer to outdated resumes, overlooked achievements, and broken hiring logic. Through AI-powered career tracking, personalized growth tools, and dynamic portfolios, Grace is reimagining how professionals take ownership of their story—and how companies finally see it.

When she’s not leading product strategy or refining AI workflows, she’s writing about the future of work, skill equity, and the power of being underestimated.

And yes—she once jumped out of a plane. But building ViaSkill was the real leap.

Julia Hendricks – Co-founder & CRO

Julia Hendricks is a high-performing sales leader with a 15-year track record of driving revenue, building client trust, and leading go-to-market strategies across SaaS and enterprise technology. As Chief Revenue Officer at ViaSkill, she brings deep expertise in strategic account growth, solution selling, and complex deal negotiation—all backed by results.

Prior to joining ViaSkill, Julia spent a decade at Lytx, where she led key enterprise accounts and consistently outperformed targets—achieving as high as 321% of quota and managing over $40 million in cumulative bookings and renewals. Known for her data-driven approach and hunter mindset, Julia has been repeatedly recognized with President’s Club honors and is regarded as a trusted advisor to customers navigating high-stakes decisions.

At ViaSkill, she’s building not just a sales function, but a relationship engine—one rooted in trust, transformation, and impact. Julia believes that career tools should reflect the real value people bring to the table, and she’s passionate about helping professionals and organizations alike see the potential that’s often overlooked.

She leads with empathy, sells with strategy, and thrives on creating alignment between what people need—and what truly moves the needle.

Michael Mizuno – Co-Founder &  CTO

Michael Mizuno is a seasoned technology leader with over 15 years of experience architecting scalable systems and driving innovation across fintech, healthcare, and SaaS. As ViaSkill’s CTO, he brings a deep technical foundation in DevOps, automation, cloud infrastructure, and AI integration—combining speed with reliability in every layer of the platform.

Before joining ViaSkill, Michael served as Principal Software Engineer at Tandem Diabetes Care, where he helped advance digital healthcare solutions at scale. His background also includes high-impact engineering roles at Wells Fargo, GreatCall, and EMAS Pro, where he led infrastructure transformations and enterprise automation initiatives that dramatically improved performance and security.

Michael’s strength lies in building systems that not only scale—but evolve. He’s a quiet force behind ViaSkill’s technical roadmap, ensuring our architecture can keep up with fast-moving innovation in AI, skill analytics, and real-time personalization.

He’s passionate about clean architecture, system reliability, and building tools that work better—so people can focus on what really matters: growing their careers.
