Big News. Bigger Upgrade. Here's Everything That Changed at ViaSkill.
Over the past week, the ViaSkill platform went through its biggest upgrade yet. Not just cosmetic changes, not just a few bug fixes. We rebuilt core features from the ground up, added entirely new ways to interact with your career data, and made the whole experience feel faster, smarter, and more like something you actually want to open every day.
Here is everything that changed, and more importantly, why it matters for your career.
The Home Screen Got a Complete Overhaul

The first thing you will notice when you log in is the new home screen. We redesigned it around one simple idea: not everyone using ViaSkill is in the same mode on any given day.
Some days you are heads down, just trying to capture what you did and keep your career data fresh. Other days you are actively job hunting and need quick access to your resume, interview prep, and job tracker. And if you are running a freelance business or building a personal brand, you need a completely different set of tools front and center.
That is why we introduced the new mode toggle at the top of the dashboard. Three modes, one screen: Daily Win, Job Seeker, and Business. Tap the one that matches where your head is at, and the entire home screen reorganizes around what you need right now.
We also introduced the Career Crew front and center on the dashboard. Skillfred, Vianne, Viaster, and Skilltony are your AI helpers, each built for a different part of your career. Instead of hunting through menus to find what you need, your crew is right there waiting for you with one click to jump into action.
The left navigation got a major upgrade too. Instead of a long flat list of options, everything is now grouped into logical sections so you can move fast. And we added an Inbox, which delivers daily reminders, achievement milestones, and ideas to help you stay on track with your career goals without having to think about it.
Daily Win Is Now Simpler and More Powerful

The Daily Win capture has always been the heartbeat of ViaSkill. You tell us what you did today, we extract your skills and add it to your career story. But we heard the feedback: it needed to be even more frictionless.
The new Daily Win input is cleaner and faster. Type a sentence about what you accomplished, hit submit, and ViaSkill does the rest. That single entry now flows automatically all the way through Skill Snapshot and into your Project Tracker. Your skills get updated, your projects get updated, and your career dataset stays current without any extra work on your end.
One entry. Everything updated.
Skill Snapshot Got a Full Redesign

The old Skill Snapshot was one long scrolling page. It worked, but it was not elegant. The new version introduces a split-panel layout that makes the whole experience feel completely different.
On the left, you have your input panel where you capture your work. On the right, your skills appear organized by category in a clean two-column grid. You can see which skills are tied to which projects, export a summary for your next performance review or job application, and track how your skill set is growing over time.
The new export toolbar lets you pull a tailored skills summary for different contexts, like a weekly one-on-one with your manager, a job application, or a portfolio update. Your skills are always there, always current, always ready to use.
Career Story Is Now a Daily Workspace

This one is a big deal. Career Story used to be a page. Now it is a full workspace, and the best way we can describe it is Notion, but built specifically for your career.
You can now create Spaces inside your Career Story workspace. Think of each Space as its own notebook for a different part of your professional life. Career Story, Meeting Notes, Learning Log, Freelance and Testimonials, Side Projects. Each one lives in its own organized area, and you can add notes, wins, reflections, and milestones whenever you want.
Here is the part that makes it genuinely different from any other tool out there: every block you add stays private by default. But you are in complete control of what goes where. Want a specific note to flow into your resume? Tag it. Want it visible to recruiters? Tag it. Want it to power your personal website or AI Coach? Tag it. You decide, block by block, exactly how your career story gets used.
This is your career narrative, and it finally has a home that is built for daily use.
Project Tracker Rebuilt as a Full Kanban Board
The Project Tracker has always been one of ViaSkill's most powerful features. This week it became one of the best Kanban tools we have ever seen, and we built it specifically around the way career data works.
The new board gives you full Kanban columns: Backlog, In Progress, Review, Done, and Archived. Drag cards between columns as your work progresses. Every card shows the skills associated with that project, the freshness of your career data, and whether there are any gaps you should address.
The Career Freshness score is something we are particularly proud of. Every project has a freshness indicator that tells you how current your skill data is for that work. When something goes stale, you get an alert so you can update it before it falls out of your career record.
We also added a "Re-extract skills on completion" toggle. Turn it on and every time you move a card to Done, ViaSkill automatically re-analyzes the project and refreshes your skills. Your profile stays current without you having to remember to do anything.
And there is now a Skills tab alongside your Projects tab, giving you a full cross-project view of every skill across your entire work history.
The Login Experience Got a Fresh Start

We unified the login and signup pages into one clean screen with a simple toggle. Less friction, better first impression, and a design that feels like it belongs on the platform you are building your career with.
Why All of This Matters
Here is the thing about career tools. Most of them are built for moments of crisis: you need a job, you panic, you scramble to update your resume, you try to remember what you even did at your last company, and you realize you have nothing documented.
ViaSkill was always built to solve that. But this upgrade is about something bigger. It is about making ViaSkill the platform you open every single day, not just when things get urgent.
When you log a Daily Win, it flows into Skill Snapshot. Skill Snapshot flows into your Project Tracker. Your Project Tracker feeds your Career Story. Your Career Story powers your resume, your website, your interview prep, and your recruiter profile. Every piece connects. Every day you use it, the system gets smarter and more complete.
After 30 days, 90 percent of what you do at work is forgotten. It gets lost in company systems you will lose access to the moment you leave. ViaSkill exists so that never happens to you.
This upgrade is the biggest step we have taken toward making that vision a daily reality. We hope you feel it the moment you log in.
